What Healthcare Providers Need to Know

Good Samaritan Medical Center, a part of the Steward Health Care System, will offer a lecture on Affordable Care Act in MA: What Healthcare Providers Need to Know on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in the J. Joseph Moakley Center Conference Room at Good Samaritan Medical Center.

This lecture provides information for physicians and healthcare providers.  One CME risk management credit hour is available for eligible physicians.

Ann Hwang, M.D., Director of Health Care Policy and Strategy in the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and Camie Berardi, ACA Implementation Manager of the Massachusetts Health Connector, will lead the lecture.

Lecture objectives are:

I: Review the main elements of the Affordable Care Act and its relationship to Massachusetts Health Reform.

II: Explain the current health care coverage landscape in Massachusetts

III: Be familiar with the changes expected in Massachusetts as a result of the Affordable Care Act

IV: Know where to obtain additional information about the Affordable Care Act for themselves and patients
