Badal Kalamkar, MD, MPH, named Chief of Hospitalist Medicine

Badal Kalamkar, MD, MPH, has been appointed to lead Department of Hospitalist Medicine.



Dr. Kalamkar is board certified in Internal Medicine. He attended Topiwala National Medical College in India. He earned his Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology, from East Tennessee State University. 

He earned a medical degree and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Medical University. He also completed a fellowship in Advanced   Hospital Medicine - Leadership track at Baystate Medical Center.

Dr. Kalamkar joins us from Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was Medical Director of Telehealth for the system and  successfully implemented Telehealth in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.  He has also served as Chief of Hospital medicine  at  Baystate Franklin Medical Center program.
