Good Samaritan Medical Center Installs New, State-of-the-Art MRI Scanner Designed to Provide Exceptional Imaging, and Improved Patient Experience.

Good Samaritan Medical Center is pleased to announce the installation of a Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T MR system within its Diagnostic Imaging Suite. The new state-of-the-art MRI provides exceptional, high-quality images, faster exams, and improved patient experience. It is one of the most advanced, high-performance MRIs in the region.

The new MRI, installed on the ground floor Radiology Suite in the Moakley Outpatient Center, incorporates sophisticated technologies designed to deliver exceptional image quality for a broad range of diagnostic applications. The high-resolution imaging provides Good Samaritan Medical Center’s radiologists and physicians with highly detailed 3-D diagnostic data.

This innovative, state-of-the-art MRI technology not only offers high-quality, faster imaging, but also offers patients a unique ambient experience that eases anxiety and improves the testing experience. Many patients report having anxiety during an MRI exam. However, thanks to the new patient comfort features, this MRI provides an immersive audiovisual environment thereby allowing patients to have a virtual open magnet experience that eases anxiety.
