Gov. Maura Healey Visits Good Samaritan with a Team of Elected Officials

Several elected officials, led by Governor Maura Healey, visited Good Samaritan Medical Center on March 2 as part of a citywide tour in response to the recent fire at Brockton Hospital.

“We were so honored by yesterday’s visit and proud to introduce many of our staff to this distinguished group, led by Governor Healey,” said Matthew Hesketh, president of Good Samaritan Medical Center. “The support shown by our elected officials yesterday was inspiring, given the challenges this community is now facing. I am looking forward to continuing to work with this group to ensure equitable access to care is maintained in Brockton for decades to come.”

Joining Gov. Healey were Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll; Kate Walsh, Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services; Jennifer Barrelle, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Health; Senator Michael Brady; Senator Walter Timilty; Representative Gerard Cassidy; Representative Michelle DuBois; Mayor Robert Sullivan; City Councilor Shirley Asack; City Councilor John Lally; and Gerson Monteiro, Brockton Representative for the Southeastern Vocational Technical High School Committee.
